Swim Rotorua Shines At Swimming BOP Awards

There was recognition of an outstanding year for Swim Rotorua at the Bay of Plenty Swimming Awards today with club members receiving the following honours:
- Coach of the Year - Alastair Johnson
- Swimmer of the Year - Kane Radford
- 29 Age Group records and 1 Open record - Bianca (14 records), Jack (11 records and an open record), Emily (2), James (1), Milla (1)
- top distance freestyle trophy (long course) - Bianca
- top overall BoP performance trophy at Central Swimming long course meet - Paddy
- top BoP performance at BoP long course meet - Paddy
- open water swimmer of the Year - Kane Radford, William Spear second.
Bianca Donelley was second in the open  female category with Emily Spear taking third.
- most improved 12 and under swimmer of the year - Sam Baldwin (Huntar a finalist)
- Bianca finalist in junior swimmer of the year
- exceptional service awards - David Spear, Lisa Apperley, Claire Baylis
- BoP honours award - Karen Nixon

And to cap it off, a prestigious life membership bestowed on Bronwen.
