PR 58 - SWC 2013: World class 25m-pool showdown kicks off next week in Eindhoven (NED)

Barcelona (ESP), August 1, 2013 - After setting record-breaking performances in 50m-pool in Barcelona (ESP) at the 15th FINA World Championships, the international swimming elite will remain in Europe and head to Eindhoven (NED) for the inaugural leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup 2013, taking place from August 7-8.

For the first time on the Swimming World Cup programme, Eindhoven will welcome many swimming stars from the five continents. The eight-meet yearly circuit is divided into three main clusters: Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The new scoring system for the Swimming World Cup 2013 distributes points according to meet, cluster and overall series performances. An overall prize money of US$1,976,000 will be distributed in this year's series.
