Koru the Kiwi has recently met some of Howick’s locals at their annual night markets.
The event saw thousands of people flock the streets with local swim school, Swimgym, also setting up a stall.
Plenty of visitors to the stall saw Koru and teachers from Swimgym able to pass out lots of information about lessons for babies to adults and for some lucky locals there were spot prizes and specially discounted lessons.
Koru proved a popular guest at the stall and helped to give out balloons and spread the word about how important it is to learn to swim and survive.
