The easy progression steps of the Kiwi Swim Safe programme are helping Henderson Intermediate teachers get their students to be safer in the water.
A recent addition to the Kiwi Swim Safe programme the school’s students are already benefitting from teachers new knowledge at their weekly pool sessions at West Wave Aquatic Centre.
The school are also looking at introducing a swim squad as they step up in their aquatic teaching knowledge.
Twenty six of the school’s teachers attended a recent personal development workshop as part of the programme, which was followed by a session in the pool.
