Congratulations to our team of 29 swimmers who competed at Auckland Junior Champs last weekend. Our team performed brilliantly coming 5th overall in the points table.
The stand our performers were Zeal Jones and Janaye Burns. Zeal contested 12 races in the 10 year old boys category and won 11 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal. Zeal also improved his time in 11 races. Janaye contested 12 races in the 10 year old girls category and won 9 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals.
PSC had three new swimmers qualify for NZ Juniors, Olivia Nichol, Amelia de Lautour and Thomas Murray. Meg Grey also qualified for Div 2 Championships in Invercargill.
It was a long meet but all of our swimmers performed well and supported each other. Coaches Jim, Maki and Sue were delighted with our swimmers achievements and are excited to see their progress at the Counties Meets coming up over the next 2 months. Please click here for a full coaches report.
