PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida freshman Pia Hulley was named the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
Hulley turned in a very impressive weekend at the Panther Invitational where she shaved more than two-and-a-half seconds off her previous B-cut time in the 200 backstroke, touching in 2:01.15, which kept her as the holder of the third-fastest time in the nation. The Christchurch, New Zealand product also swam a winning time of 56.49 in the 100 back, which is sixth-fastest in the nation.
In the relay events, she was part of the winning 400 medley relay team that won in a B-cut time of 3:49.84 and the 200 medley relay that won in 1:45.06.
