Foxton Swimming Club has been rewarded for their recent hard work with a Swimming New Zealand Quality Swim School (QSS) Bronze accreditation.
To achieve their qualification the club have worked incredibly hard to implement new ideas, policies and procedures into their everyday running in order to meet the new QSS requirements.
They plan to continue working with Swimming New Zealand to become a gold accredited club in the future.
The club provides swimming lessons to their local community at Foxton Summer Pool in summer and Levin Aquatic Centre in winter.
All of their coaches are volunteers and are doing a fantastic job of understanding the needs of their local community and providing support to their swimmers and their families.
Swimmers cover a large range of activities including retrieving objects from the pool floor, gliding through hoops and learning the basics of all four strokes.
The coaches are all confident in what they are delivering, write comprehensive lesson plans for each session and genuinely enjoy what they do.
