Last weekend Chloe, Keegan and Jack competed in the NZ Open Water Swim Champs on Lake Taupo. They were competing in the 5km event. Keegan gained 7th place in his age group with a time of 1 hour 12mins, Chloe completed the course in 1 hour 23 mins and sadly Jack pulled out with a shoulder injury after 2.5k. Awesome effort from all of you.
The Epic Swims that were held on Saturday, with Teresa and Tori competing in the 1km and 500m events respectively. Tori gained 12 place but unfortunately Teresa pulled out due to asthma.
Katrina Price swam a 'Warm-up' of 17.5km in 5 hours 41 mins.
Proud of all of you, it is completely different to pool swimming - no black line to follow, 30+ swimmers bunched together and freezing cold lake water. Well Done!
