The New Zealand Swimming Trust Table Auction came to an exciting conclusion yesterday with a flurry of bids in the final countdown before the auction closed.
All profits received from the auction, which included four tables each hosted by an Aquablack, will be fed straight back into the New Zealand Swimming Trust to help support the swimmers of tomorrow.
Those who placed the winning bids will now be dining with an Aquablack at the 2014 State Insurance Swimming New Zealand Awards.
The winning bids for each of the tables were:
Sophia Batchelor $2,000
Matthew Stanley $1,700
Lauren Boyle $1,350
Kane Radford $1,215
The awards dinner, being held at the Viaduct Events Centre on Saturday 12th April, will celebrate the achievements of New Zealand swimmers, coaches, technical officials and volunteers from 2013.
You can have your say for who you think deserves this year’s People’s Choice Award. Cast your vote by 8pm on Tuesday 8 April and see if your choice wins when it’s announced at the awards dinner.
