FAST dominated the Counties Zone Swimming last Friday with some very impressive results - nearly half of the top three placings in the finals were FAST swimmers.
Our team was: Mikaela, Ernestine, Leah, Alissa, Abby, Libby, Brooklyn, Ryan, Leon, Ethan, Caleb and Matthew.
Year 7 Girls
Mikaela was first overall, placing 1st in 50 free, 100 free, 50 back and 2nd in 50 breast.
Ernestine came third overall, placing 2nd in 50 free and 50 back and 3rd in 100 free.
Leah came 3rd in the 50 breast and qualified for the final in 50 free.
Alissa was a finalist in 100 free, 50 back and 50 breast.
Year 7 Boys
Ethan was second in the year 7 boys competition coming 2nd in 100 free, 50 free and 50 back.
Leon was third overall, placing 3rd in 50 free, 50 back and 50 breast.
Ryan qualified for the finals in the 100 free, 50 free and 50 back.
Year 8 Girls
Libby was the first Year 8 Girl coming 1st in 50 and 100 free, 2nd in 50 back, 50 breast, 50 fly and breaking the zone records in 50 free and 100 free.
Year 8 Boys
Matthew was second in the Year 8 Boys competition achieving 2nd in 100 free, 50 back, 50 breast and 3rd in 50 free and 50 fly.
Mikaela, Ernestine, Leah, Ethan, Leon, Libby and Matthew have all qualified for the Auckland Champs in 30th March.
