Levels

Level 6

Coaches: William, Chloe, Chris, Brittany, Jared, Keegan

Programme: 1 to 2 sessions per week

Objectives:  The primary goal of Level 6 is to enforce and develop the swimmers technique over the four main strokes.  Level 6 is the first opportunity for swimmers to begin attending Club nights and Junior Carnivals.  

 

Level 7 

Coaches: William, Chloe, Chris, Brittany, Jared, Keegan

Programme: 1 to 3 sessions per week

Objectives: The objective of Level 7 is to develop swimmers technique over long distances.  Swimmers in Level 7 will have basic technique reinforced while developing and learning the more advanced techniques of individual strokes.  Considerable emphasis is placed on fixing the minor details in this level, in preparation for the longer training sessions of Level 8.  Breaststroke pullouts are taught in this level. Swimmers should begin to attend junior meets and swim in at least one Club night per season.

 

Level 8

Coaches: William, Chloe, Chris, Brittany, Jared, Keegan

Programme: 1 to 3 sessions per week

Objectives:  The objective of Level 8 is the preparation of swimmers for squad swimming.  Swimmers are taught to hold stroke technique over a period of one hour.  Swimmers cover training protocols including an in-depth look at using the pace clock.  They are taught the basics of reading and executing "sets" from the whiteboard.  Swimmers should begin to attend junior meets and swim in at least one Club night per season. Training at least twice a week is recommended.
