The start of something extraordinary

Making the most of your membership

Our talented coaches are volunteers. They offer their valuable time and passion to helping members gain confidence in the water, skills development and enjoyment of swimming.

To ensure this time is both productive and enjoyable, we ask our members to comply to the following:

  • Make sure you have the gear you need before you leave home.

  • Always bring a drink to training. Water can be topped up in the fountain alongside the main pool.

  • Be punctual - your coach expects you to be poolside and ready to go for the start of your session.

  • Take care entering the pool.

  • Use correct starts and turns during training sessions.  As children progress through the levels, they will learn these.

  • Star and finish each length at the wall, rather than half way down the pool.

  • Keep swimming.  Standing up during a length disrupts other swimmers in your lane.

  • If you need to leave during the lesson, please advise your coach at the start of your lesson.

  • Coaches expect everyone to listen to instructions, and can ask you to hop out of the pool if you are not paying attention or disrupting other students.

  • Please bring your best attitude and a positive determination to get the best out of every session.

Any problems can be discussed with your coach before or after the session.  Please do not interupt the coach during training sessions as this impacts on other members.
