What does it mean to be part of the National Team or Development Team?

Being part of the Swimming New Zealand National Team is aimed at providing Swimmers and their Coaches a sense of pride and acheivement that you have performed outstandingly in order to gain this recognition. The support that SNZ will provide to you and your coach will be via opportunities to take part in activities that will be somewhat funded by SNZ. 

Opportunities for Swimmers and Coaches on the National Team in 2017:

  • National Team Coaches Clinic October 2017. SNZ funded. Travel only will be user pays.
  • National Team Camp November 2017. SNZ funded. Travel only will be user pays.
  • Flagstaff National team Altitude Camp December 2017. FINA A & B athletes will receive a substantial subsidy.
  • Social Media profiling.
  • Support and endorsement for Funding applications to gaming bodies and/or sponsorship.
  • Individual Performance Program Support 
  • Regular news from Head Coach Jerry Olszewski to all Coaches.
