The start of something extraordinary

NZ technical officials bound for Fiji

Congratulations to the technical officials from around New Zealand who have been appointed to the Oceania Championships in June this year.

Twenty four technical officials from across eight of the Swimming New Zealand Regions have been selected to officiate at the biennial championships to take place in Fiji from the 20 -25th of June.

For a number of officials heading to Fiji it will be their first taste of officiating overseas.

Also included in the group is Swimming New Zealand award winner Dianne Famer (Manawatu) who was earlier in the year awarded the Bill Matson Technical Official of the Year.

Helen Tait (Canterbury) and Carlrine Gillespie (Northland), who were finalists for the same award, will also be heading to Fiji.

The continuing contribution of New Zealand officials at international meets is a great testament to the high standard of technical officials we have in New Zealand.
