The Board of Swimming NZ has decided to retain involvement in ‘learn to swim’ but place these activities into a separate business unit from its core competitive swimming activities.
The Board has also decided to undertake a review of the current ‘learn to swim’ activities to ensure they are well aligned with the needs of competitive swimming, fully meet the requirements of those receiving services and are being undertaken as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The decision to retain the activities complements the ‘whole of sport’ approach Swimming NZ is developing in its planning.
