US-based Olympic swimmers Matt Hutchins and Glenn Snyders had useful hit-outs at the CA Los Angeles Invitational meet that finished yesterday.
Hutchins, on scholarship at the University of Wisconsin, won the 400m freestyle. He topped qualifiers in 3:53.39 and was a fraction slower in winning the final.
Veteran Snyders, who will compete in his third Olympics, was fourth in the final of the 100m breaststroke in 1:02.66, after going slightly faster in his heat where he was second fastest.
The pair will join the rest of the Olympic team in Houston on Friday for their staging camp before flying into Rio.
