Auckland Council swim schools have had plenty to celebrate this year with one in particular standing out.
Stanmore Bay is one of eight Auckland Council swim schools who have this year upgraded to a gold level Swimming New Zealand Quality Swim School.
They also won the national Outstanding Swim School of the Year Award in the under 1,000 students category.
The award was announced at the New Zealand Swim Coaches and Teachers Association Conference in Rotorua in May.
The swim school provides lessons for babies through to squads and adults, and offer affordable swimming lessons to suit all ages and abilities.
Their staff are qualified, experience instructors who are passionate about teaching swimming.
“Our swim students love that we are community focused and family friendly, and we strive to be nothing but the best in New Zealand,’ says centre manager Matthew Burden.
More than 500,000 swimming lessons take place in Auckland Council owned pools each year, helping Aucklanders get the most out of their beautiful coastline. Stanmore Bay is just one of the 43 pool and leisure centres that help provide these lessons.
