Taieri Swim Club operates at Mosgiel Community Pool, Gordon Road, Mosgiel. Our lessons and squads run from September to the end of March.
We cater for learn to swim, through to competitive squads, for children age 5 years and up.
Membership is limited by pool space and availability of coaches. A waiting list is operated. Currently the club has approximately 100 swimmers. 15% of our members are registered competitive swimmers.
2017/18 Michelle Summers and Courtland Ellis are our Squad Coaches.
Our Junior Groups are taught by our qualified volunteer coaches whom we appreciate donating their time and their skill to help swimmers on the Taieri.
Club Swimmers: Club sessions on Wednesday night and Saturday morning for learn to swim to length swimming. Groups of up to 6 swimmers Operates Term 1 and 4
Club Swimmers Development Group: Training group for those that may be interested in competitive swimming. Limited numbers. Operates on Wednesday night and Saturday morning, Terms 1 and 4
Club Swimmers/Competitive: Swimming squad for those interested in competitive swimming or improving fitness for further aquatic sports. Operates on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday morning, September to March.
For all competitions we appreciate parents helping out with timekeeping, team manager, IOT (inspector of turns) and work behind the scenes to ensure smooth operating of all events.
