Howick Pakuranga’s Daniel Hunter had a solid effort in his first competition swim on the second day of the FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships in Canada.
Hunter was timed at 1:46.51 in the 200m freestyle which did not qualify him through for the semifinals.
He returns to the pool at Windsor, Ontario tomorrow for one of his favoured events, the men’s 50m freestyle.
