Waikato Para-Swimmer Nikita Howarth has been recognised in the New Year Honours List. The Paralympic and World gold medallist from Te Awamutu has been awarded the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
Also honoured is Swimming New Zealand Board member Simon Perry, who is a Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to sport and philanthropy.
Congratulations to Nikita and Simon for their richly well earned honours.
