Steffan John from Canterbury Swim School already has several overseas qualifications in teaching swimming but was still keen to take part in an entry level Swimming New Zealand course and get trained and qualified the ‘kiwi way’.
John has recently moved to New Zealand from the UK and has now achieved his Swimming New Zealand Swim Teacher Award.
He really enjoyed the course, learning a lot of new material as well as reinforcing prior knowledge.
This is just the beginning for John's training with him looking forward to the School Age and Adults course next weekend in Christchurch.
John is the first of four instructors at Canterbury Swim School to complete the Swimming New Zealand Swim Teacher Award.
