As part of our partnership with the Bluebridge Ferry, Koru the Kiwi and our learn to swim team sailed for 2 days during the school holidays to educate children on swimming and water safety.
They were taught dry land water safety and swimming skills, how to fit a lifejacket, story time, completed some fantastic activity books and of course, got to meet Koru the kiwi.
A clear highlight for the children was the colouring competition which Koru came to judge at the end of the trip. Well done to all the children who participated.
The Bluebridge staff were very welcoming and accommodating and we look forward to the next school holiday crossings.
