The start of something extraordinary

Te Kura Maori O Porirua receive their State Kiwi Swim Safe Te Reo certificates

Te Kura Maori o Porirua in Wellington had a very pleasant surprise earlier this week receiving their State Kiwi Swim Safe certificates that have recently been translated into Te Reo.

The school are due to finish their swimming lessons in a couple of weeks, and having had 3 lessons per week for much of Term 1 there has been plenty of progress made in the pool.

The students had lessons with qualified instructors once a week and lessons with their school teachers for the other 2 days.  The State Kiwi Swim Safe resources and poolside support have been well used and are making a real difference to the abilities of the students.

The school are very excited to be using the Te Reo certificates, and really appreciate the effort that has been put in to getting them translated.

“We are so impressed that you listened to our request to have them translated, they are really choice” .

Well done to Te Kura Maori O Porirua for all of your efforts with your students and their swimming this term – we look forward to continuing to work with you.
