As part of the State Kiwi Swim Safe programme, Swimming New Zealand's Swim Safe Advisor, Tracey Hickman has been working with primary schools and teachers throughout Canterbury to assist them in the delivery of their learn to swim and water safety programmes.
After spending a day at a school with a State Insurance volunteer it was clearly evident that there were children at this school and many other schools who didn't own any togs despite their school having a functional school pool.
State Insurance staff throughout New Zealand decided to take action and rallied together to gather donated and second hand swimming togs. The results were fantastic with togs being donated from all parts of the country.
Congratulations State Insurance on a fantastic initiative.
