Kiwi age swimmers team up to take on Australian rivals

A 35-strong New Zealand team will cross the Tasman in September to take on Australia’s best young swimmers, competing in the Australian State Teams Age Short Course Championships.

It is the third-time New Zealand has competed in the three-day meet that centres on a team points concept, similar to the Zonal Championships in New Zealand.

The event, to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra on 22-24 September, combines individual events and team relays, with the New Zealand swimmers selected all having to meet qualifying standards.
