2017 National Development Squad Camp 

Purpose:

This camp is to identify up and coming New Zealand swimming talent. This is an opportunity for swimmers to have a consider what it would be like to train with the SNZ High Performance Squad. It is also the first step into a National Team setting with training expectations, behaviour and teamwork.

Dates:

Sunday 8 – Tuesday 10 October 2017; 3 Days, 2 Nights

Location:

Auckland:

  •          Pool – Sir Owen G Glenn National Aquatic Centre
  •          Accommodation and Meals – AUT Millennium Lodge

Costs:

Swimming New Zealand will be covering the costs of training, accommodation, and three meals per day. Each athlete will however be responsible for the cost of their own travel to and from the camp in Auckland.

Travel:

Please ensure you arrange and book suitable transportation. The Camp;

  •          Starts at approx. 7:30am on the Sunday, and
  •          Ends at approx. 11:00am on the Tuesday.

 

Based upon interest, Swimming New Zealand is happy to arrange a shuttle to and from Auckland Domestic Airport for groups of athletes. Note: This will be at the expense of each individual using the service. We will have athletes back at the airport by 12:30pm on the Tuesday; Please take this into consideration when booking return domestic flights.

Management:

Swimming New Zealand will be providing a manager for the three (3) days due to the number of athletes on the squad and their age.

Attendance:

Athletes are asked to confirm their attendance in writing to amy@swimming.org.nz for the National Development Squad Camp by Monday 26 June 2017so that bookings and costings can be confirmed.
