News was released earlier today of toxic algae areas of Lake Taupo affecting the Taupo Ironman event this weekend.
At this present time, the 2018 Epic swim is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
Swimming New Zealand is currently working with the Waikato Regional Council on the issue at hand and will keep everyone updated.
