Our Club spirit is particularly strong in our competitive squads, fostered on a tradition of inclusivity and family support.
We we offer a Learn to Swim course each summer for 5 year olds and over, Development level (stroke improvement) and Competitive Junior and Age Group Squads.
We are the oldest swimming club in Northland; Whangarei Swimming Club began with swim practice and racing in the Mair Park and later Central Park pools.
Affliated to the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association in 1892 the club established competitive swimming in Whangarei.
With a proud history of success from Learn to Swim through to masters level, our club has had swimmers go onto national and international success while fostering the club values; promote swimming for safety, personal achievement, friendship and competition.
