Swimming New Zealand is pleased to announce Teamsports will continue as official swimwear and apparel sponsor of the organisation for a further three years.
The deal will see Teamsports who is the distributor of Adidas Swimming branded products in New Zealand, provide Adidas uniform kit for national swimming teams and Swimming New Zealand (SNZ) staff.
Swimming New Zealand CEO Steve Johns was thrilled to extend the partnership which has now been in place since 2015, through until the 2020 Olympic Games.
“Teamsports and its ADIDAS Swimming brand fits perfectly with our high performance programme and objectives and we look forward to working with Manesh and his team over the next 3 years.”
Teamsports managing director Manesh Vallabh is excited to continue working alongside SNZ.
“Not only are we excited at continuing to partner with SNZ and the national swimming team, but we’re also looking forward to developing with the organisation some exciting initiatives which we will be able to share with the wider swimming community in the very near future.”
Vallabh also added, “Adidas global have acknowledged that the category of swim is a key focus for them which will also see new products and technologies roll out in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.”
The SNZ high performance team have a busy year ahead attending five international meets.
These meets also include, the Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo from 9 – 13 August and FINA World Short Course Championships in Hangzhou, China from 11 – 16 December.
Teamsports also supply apparel and equipment to field Hockey, fitness, martial arts and badminton teams.
Aqua Blacks and national team supporters won’t be left out either, with licensed merchandise available exclusively at www.swimming.org.nz or through www.teamsports.co.nz.
