The start of something extraordinary

Welcome to the 2018/19 Swim Season!!!

Welcome to the 2018/19 swim season everybody!

The 2018/19 season is underway with a hiss and a roar with 2 rounds of the Counties Winter and Dolphin League's having been completed, with a bunch of PB's and outstanding swims.  The Winter League Team 'Team Boyle' in particular has done great with almost the bare minimum number of swimmers, and our new swimmers in 'Team Moss' getting into the swing of things with great swims all round.  Our 'Team Pascoe' is out in front in the early stages of these meets with the most first places in the 2nd sessions to date.  Keep up the good work teams!

Since the last post, we've partaken in the St George's Shield, HPK Honda Meet, a handful of PSC Club Meets and the Manurewa Winter Meet.  Some massive results, with loads of qualifications to some of the big meets coming up such as AIMs, Div II, NAGS, ASA Juniors, NZ Secondary Schools and the NZ SC Champs too.  Congratulations to all swimmers who have qualified for these meets.

Last week the club was informed that Libby Murphy had been chosen as a member of the Bronze Development Squad by Swimming NZ and will be taking part in the Individual Medley camp in the new year to further enhance her skills in the IM's.  Fantastic work Libby!!!

For all of our new swimmers and families, please make yourself familiar with the pages on our website (especially the Useful Information tab) and if you have any questions please check in with one of the Committee or your Coach.

From time to time too, we'll be updating some of our other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram (look up 'FastSwimmingClubNZ') as well as our Noticeboard at the Patumahoe Pool.  Just recently we placed up all of our Age Group Records incase you're wanting to see what these are as well as some reminders about upcoming meets too.

Over the next week the team's Hoodies will be rolled out to those members who have purchased these.  As of the Papatoetoe Meet (11 August 2018) next weekend we will be enforcing our Uniform Policy which is 'team shirts (dark blue and the royal blue for our National Senior Swimmers), black pants and the FAST hoodies' to be worn to events.  If you are wearing something different, this will be asked to be removed.  On another clothing note too - for all new swimmers, if you're unsure about what type of togs to wear - please check in with the Committee or your Coach.  For swimmers wanting to wear 'racing swimwear', only swimwear with stitched seams are permitted for 12 and unders as of 1 July 2018.  For swimmers older than that, they can continue to wear both stiched seam as well as bonded seam swimwear if preferred.

Lastly, at most of our meets we're very lucky that we have a Club photographer amongst us (Debbie Montgomery) who takes a mass of fantastic photos for us.  You can see some of the older photo's in the 'Photo Tab' on this website, as well as we post these up ASAP on Facebook too.  Please feel free to 'like' and 'comment' on them.

Welcome everybody!
