The start of something extraordinary

Welcome to Fulton Amateur Swim Team (FAST)

The Fulton Amateur Swim Team (FAST) is one of the most competitive swimming clubs in the Counties Manukau region. Based at Patumahoe Primary School in South Auckland, FAST is a non-profit club for 8-18 year olds offering highly certified, boutique professional coaching, training and competition to children of all abilities.

Established in 2013, FAST has maintained the squad size at approximately 40 swimmers, allowing our specialist coaches under the tutelage of our Head Coach, Ria Langit to be able to spend the time required with each team member to further progress their abilities and hone their swimming techniques.

In 2018, FAST sent 15 swimmers to the NZ Junior Festival, gaining 9 top ten places with the team achieving an overall ranking of 16th at the event. At NZ Division II, FAST was represented by 7 swimmers, collecting one silver medal and 8 top ten places, the club finished 47th in the Country.  At the NZ Age Group Championships, FAST was represented by 4 swimmers.

These swimmers collected 1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronzes and 7 other top-ten placings. Overall the club placed 35th in NZ, a massive achievement for such a small club. Additionally, we have had our first swimmer qualify for NZ Opens with 7 swims and also our first swimmer to be selected to represent New Zealand at the Australian State Teams Championships in Canberra late 2018.

Our club's mission is simple - by paying close attention to the details of the science of efficient swimming, we channel our energies toward character building, moulding team members with our core values revolving around the spirit of 'sportsmanship'.   Through being disciplined in our training programmes, our FAST team members are developing essential tools that can be utilised throughout their lives away from swimming.
