Christmas Splash Night Pool Party. Poster and details to follow but put it in your diary!
23rd February 2018 (Date and time to be confirmed), Splash Night fun.
Splash Nights: These are held twice each school term. These are free, except for pool entry. Members may bring friends/siblings. If you are not a member, but would like to see what Swim Rotorua is all about let us know that you would like to come along. Usually held in 25m inside pool, Turbo, Metro and Junior Academy athletes are able to test their skills and times with 25m, 50m and sometimes 100m events. Our older athletes often help you too. Gain your times and achieve certificates too. A fun way to spend an afternoon or coccasionally and early evening.
We also regularly have theme race nights. Check out our facebook page for photos of our Commonwealth Games Night.
At Splash Nights you can enter as many or as few of the races as you want. (Some distances are not available for some squads). If you can’t dive yet that is no problem. It is all about having fun and getting a time for you to try to beat next time! That way you know you are improving and so do we.
We encourage our parents to join in too by learning timekeeping and then moving on up to Officals training. A great opportunity to help the club at Splash Nights, School Swimming Sports and at Meets. Practice makes perfect and Splash Night is a great time to learn!
These are held with the older athletes assisting our coaches around four times a year. Improve your diving, turns and general racing skills so you are ready for competitions, school swimming sports, Central Bay of Pleanty or Weetabix Tryathlon.
