Napier Aquatic Centre Swim School are encouraging parent and child play in the water through their weekly Tiny Tots sessions.
Each Tuesday, during the school term, the swim school runs the programme which allows parents to participate in a session with a Swimming New Zealand qualified swim teacher on pool side.
Designed for children aged six months to five years, the sessions include a short introductory lesson on the Quality Swim School’s learn to swim programme.
The qualified swim instructor is also available at the session to help parents with any water tips for swim time, bath time and safety skills.
Special play toys, music, inflatables and other fun activities are also provided at no extra charge for parents to use during the session time.
At the end of each term the swim school hosts a Tiny Tot party with special guests and giveaways.
