The start of something extraordinary

Hamilton children making waves at Quality Swim School

Hamilton children are making waves with the support of Hamilton City Council's swim school, the Cerebral Palsy Society and the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation’s AllSports Funding.

Waterworld pools in Hamilton have a 15m x 8m accessible hydrotherapy pool set to 34 degrees which is the ultimate facility for this Quality Swim School to give people the opportunity to explore and gain valuable water safety and swimming skills.

There are children in the water who can easily access the water and can participate and be included in the swim schools group lessons or private lessons with Swimming New Zealand qualified swimming instructors.

With the support of organisations such as the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation and the Hamilton City’s swim schools commitment to removing barriers of typically high costs for lessons, these lessons are affordable to most families.

The results are much more than swimming ability and physical gains. The children’s confidence and sense of independence is constantly growing and the sense of satisfaction is priceless.
