The start of something extraordinary

Taranaki benefits from TSB Pool Complex

There have been some positive and exciting changes happening at the TSB Pool Complex in Stratford. The new manager, Andrea Wilkie, is keen to provide a safe and fun place for people of all ages to enjoy the water.

The complex has a 25 metre, seven lane, heated indoor pool that is open all year round. There is also a learner’s pool and a toddler’s pool.

Over the past several months they have purchased new large inflatable’s, toys, and a bubble machine that are put out for recreational use during the weekends from 1-5pm, school holidays, and weekdays from 11-3pm. There is also a new slide in the toddler’s pool and two exciting new climbing walls that are proving very popular.

It’s fantastic to see the pool being used as a fun place to be with an increase in numbers coming to the facility.

The TSB Pool Complex also offers a range of activities including: Adult fitness and technical swim squads, aquarobics, birthday party hire, lane swimming, learn to swim and squad coaching, private hire, school aquatic programmes, and school holiday fun.

Both the Flyers Swim School and the Silver Jets Swim School operate out of this pool, offering learn to swim classes and squad coaching.

Koru the Kiwi (State Kiwi Swim Safe mascot) visited the TSB Pool complex for a couple of afternoons while the learn to swim programmes were on, delighting young swimmers.  A Koru colouring-in competition was run and winners were announced at a Stratford Swimming Club night the same week. Prizes from Swimming New Zealand, State Insurance, and Aqualine were given out, with Koru in attendance.
