The start of something extraordinary

Personal Best for Capp

Tauranga's Nathan Capp has produced a personal best effort in his debut at FINA's World Short Course Championships in Doha today.

Capp, part of Swimming New Zealand's high performance squad, was 11th fastest in the heats of the 400m medley in the time of 4:07.70.

This bettered his previous best of 4:08.38 sec at the national championships although just over a second outside of Dean Kent's national record.

Capp was only 23/100ths of a second outside a qualifying spot for the evening finals.

Tomorrow Glenn Snyders is back in action in heats of the 200m breaststroke, after making the semifinals of the 100m breaststroke on the first day.

Capp is also back in the pool tomorrow in the 400m freestyle heats.
