The start of something extraordinary

Swimmers perform well at NZ Juniors

Session Four

Bianca has completed the 200IM in a long course PB and a National 10th ranking, Emily Spear completed her 2015 Junior Nationals with another personal best time in the 200IM and is now close to the Top 10. This race gave her an 11th National ranking. Milla Theobold was of her entered time (short course converted) but did achieve a long course PB in the 200IM.

Session Three

Did not disappoint with the session starting with the 200 Freestyle with all three girls racing this event. Bianca raced a impressive race and took top honors and the Gold in the 12 years age group in a very quick 2:14. This was over a 5 second PB. Emily Spear (11) showed her strength by posting a 5 second PB in her 200 Freestyle and training partner Mila (also 11) just pipped Emily in the rankings also in a personal best time. Bianca also swam the 100 Backstroke securing a 8th National ranking and in a personal best long course time. Bianca's last event for the evening was the anchor in the SBOP 4 x 50 medley relay Team. A great battle for third but the Team had to settle for 4th. Again Bianca posted a creditable 28.94. Mila Theobold continued with her signature events the Butterfly by racing yet another personal best and rounded out her session with the 100 Back.

Session Two
Bianca Donelley won Gold in the 50 Free and a provisional BOP record and then continued her great form with a personal best time in the 400 Individual medley and a National 5th ranking. Her lst swim of the session was the 50 back, again in a PB and a 10th National ranking.

Emily Spear was on the starting blocks for her solo swim for the session and improved her 200 breaststoke time.

Mila Theobold swam both the 50 Free and 50 back. The 50 Free was a little of her best but she achieved a PB long course time in the 50 Backstroke.

Session One:
Bianca Donelley (12) kicked off the Swim Rotorua 2015 SNZ National Championships campaign with a Silver and a massive personal best long course time in the 400 Freestyle at the Junior Championships . She backed this race up with a further personal best time in the 200 backstroke with a 6th national ranking and was the anchor for the SBOP Regional 4 x 50 Freestyle relay posting an impressive 28.92. The SBOP Team finished with a 5th ranking.

Training partner Emily Spear (11) swam a impressive 400 Free dropping her best time by a further 7 seconds. Emily also swam the 200 backstroke and although swam slower then her entered time (short course converted) she did post a personal best long course time.

And to round the team of Mila Theobold (11) also swam the 400 Freestyle. She was a fraction of her best but a very gutsy race and she certainly made a statement in the first 100. Next up also was the 200 Backstroke. She swam slower then her entered time (short course converted) but did post a personal best long course time. Mila also took the blocks for the 100 Fly where she achieved a personal best time.
