The start of something extraordinary

Kiwi swimmer continues to impress in Australia

New Zealand swimmer Lauren Boyle has completed an impressive shakedown at the Australian swimming championships in Sydney.

Boyle, fastest in the 400m and 1500m freestyle, was second fastest in the heats of the 200m freestyle in Sydney yesterday.

The 27 year old clocked 1:58.60 in an impressive effort as she and other Kiwi swimmers are using the event to prepare for the New Zealand championships on 14-17 April.

International swimmers can compete in the heats only at the Australian championships.

North Shore swimmer Shaun Burnett was seventh fastest in heats of the 200m butterfly in 2:00.95.
