Teachers and parent helpers at Milford Primary School recently participated in the State Kiwi Swim Safe programme and now feel more confident when teaching their classes and groups.
The teachers took part in pool sessions with their class and worked on ways to teach skills through games, how to extend their club swimmers and how to prepare their middle school for Waterwise next year.
Milford Primary school is holding a Gala on Saturday 22nd of March to raise the $45,000 needed to resurface the school pool. North Shore Swim Club also uses the pool before and after school all year round.
