Five swimmers make finals at Australian Age Champs

Five more young Kiwi swimmers made finals on the fourth day of the Australian Age Group Championships in Sydney.

Hutt Valley 13-year-old Chelsea Edwards (SwimZone) finished sixth in the 100m freestyle in 59.02, while Auckland’s Annabelle Paterson (United), 16, finished seventh in the final of the 200m freestyle in 2:05.43.

Hawkes Bay’s Ruby Adsett (Napier Aquahawks), 14, was seventh in the 400m freestyle in 4:28:25 and Manawatu’s Mya Rasmussen (KiwiWest) placed eighth in the 14 years 400m freestyle in 4:28:45.

The other finalist was Wanganui 14 year old Shannon Schimanski who was ninth in the 100m breaststroke in 1:17.14.

The championships finish tomorrow.
