Peer teaching can be a handy tool to use when you have many students in your class. This way the children are able to practice more often and reinforce their own learning by having a turn as the “teacher”. Be sure to reinforce the key teaching points of your activity before they set off.
We all know that safety at the pool starts before you enter the water. Kres from South Otago Kindergarten Association knows that children are very visual so has designed cue cards with pictures to support the language & actions used around the pool. The cards really work with children and the parents are also on board with reinforcing these water safety messages.
