Alex Meyer (USA) and Rachele Bruni (ITA) were the winners of the first leg of the 2016 edition of the FINA/HOSA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup, organised in Patagones-Viedma, in Argentina. In a thrilling race on February 7, the North American touched home in 1h55m44s72, while Bruni needed 2h06m11s50 to complete the race.

PR 6 - Fukuoka (JPN) and Doha (QAT) to host 2021 & 2023 FINA World Championships

The Japanese city of Fukuoka will host the 2021 edition of the FINA World Championships and the FINA World Masters Championships, while Doha in Qatar will host the same two competitions in 2023. The decision was made after the vote of the FINA Bureau today in Budapest (HUN), some hours before the staging of the FINA World Aquatics Gala – Soirée des Etoiles.
