They are organized by the Oceania Swimming Association, and feature teams representing countries and islands from that region. The championships include open water, pool and synchronised swimming. New Zealand are hosts for the 2014 Oceania Championships.

The 2nd FINA World Youth Swimming Championships, or 2008 Youth Worlds, are from July 8–13 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The Championships will be held at the Aquatics Center of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Centro Acuático Olímpico Universitario). Male participants have to be 18 years or younger on the 31 December 2008 and female participants have to be 17 years or younger on the 31 December 2008.
The 2008 Oceania Swimming Championships are being held in New Zealand and feature competition in swimming, open water swimming and synchronized swimming. It is the 7th Oceania Swimming Championships and second time that New Zealand will host the event after playing host to the 2000 Championships.
